Blue Peter and the Royal Mint are giving you the chance to design a 50 pence coin that will be seen and used by millions of people in the UK !!

Your idea will appear on the reverse side of a coin and will be one of 29 designs celebrating the forthcoming London 2012 Olympics.

The competition is open to 6-12 year olds and the closing date is the 2nd March 2009.

The winning design will be getting the Royal stamp of approval as it will be sent to the Queen for the final sign off !!

This will be the first time a child has had their design made into a coin by the Royal Mint. So you will be making history !!!
